So Red and I have been quietly debating on tattoos for a while and finally decided to go ahead and get it done. I put off tats for a long time cause I need it to be more than a HD symbol or MOM but think I finally got something I'll like to see for a lifetime.
I'll let Molly decide if she wants to share hers while it's still in the design stage. I'm hopin to have it done by Hill Country ride. Been over 18 years in the making of this decision. This will go on my left arm. The crossed swords are representative of the martial art I have studied since I was 8 years old. - too much to explain in one post. The left facing hawk is a transposed hawk from my family crest cause I've always gone the "other" way from my family. The wings are extended rather than folded because I am a traveller. The crest is just that - my family crest the word Cearbhaill is the Gaelic spelling of my last name - Carroll The family motto is left off because I am changing my motto - legally through the registry of names in Ireland. It will later be tattooed on my left forearm It all goes on my left arm because I am left handed. |

Very cool symbology in your art work. I’ve never really took the plunge,
since I didn’t want to simply put something that permanent on my body without it being something unique to me, and the things in my life that I felt most passionate about. I like the crossed Kukri's. I assume that is symbolic of something along the lines of Bando? |
