Default Oyster Run Road Hazard

hey i just got an email from eagle leather about a road hazard warning on the road to anacortes.

Greetings Eagle Leather customers. We received a concerned email from a former retired King County Deputy who said that he was almost killed on I-5 heading North during and asked Eagle Leather to help get the word out. Your safety is important to us so we have sent this TRAVEL ADVISORY to you in hopes that it will avert any potential accident. Several Eagle Leather employees went to Anacortes this week and verified that this dangerous situation does exist. As we understand it, the angle entering the hazard is different from the angle as you exit from the hazard and is impossible to avoid so slow down and be cautious as you approach the identified mile markers and remember there is another similar hazard about one mile North of the first ones. Also, remember to slow down on your return trip.

if you're heading up be safe and have one for me!

Thanks for the advisory, hopefully this will save some folks some grief. Take care and if you get any pix of this run, please post 'em. I have heard about this one, and it really sounds like a blast. Enjoy and keep the rubber side down.

Troopers stop 20 motorcyclists during annual Oyster Run

BELLINGHAM -- Washington State Patrol aircraft and troopers located and stopped 20 aggressive motorcyclists Sunday during the 26th annual Oyster Run motorcycle tour.

The stops, which occurred in a four-hour period according to a state patrol release, included four riders driving at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour.

Violations ranged from passing other vehicles on the shoulder, driving between two vehicles, tailgating and speeding, the release said.

The Oyster Run is an annual motorcycle tour from various Whatcom County locations to Anacortes.

Thanks HD, sorry I misunderstood, and after Reds post, maybe it is just as well. Hope the wedding went well or at least a close 2nd to the Oyster Run. You are a really good friend to give up the run for a wedding.
