Organized by the Rolling Thunder Chapter 2 motorcycle club, the 4th annual Memorial Poker Run raises money for scholarship funds.
PEMBERTON TOWNSHIP - As the sun burned through a heavy blanket of morning clouds, the first of about 150 motorcycles began rolling into the parking lot of the American Legion post on Fort Dix Road, lining up in rows of shining paint, chrome and tailpipes. The bikers were riding in the 4th annual Memorial Poker Run organized by the Rolling Thunder Chapter 2 motorcycle club. After they parked their bikes, the riders got in line for some grub and to peruse tents selling club and riding accessories. But these riders weren't just there for a barbecue. All proceeds from the run and from the sales of merchandise benefit the Ryan T. Baker/Philip I Spakosky Scholarship Fund and The Rolling Thunder Chapter 2 NJ Scholarship Fund.
