On weekday afternoons, a calm settles over New Hope's touristy Main Street. Shoppers stroll the narrow thoroughfare of antiques shops and art galleries overlooking the murmuring Delaware River.
Then the weekend rolls around, and the bikers come roaring through. Rhea Rawley, 51, who owns a gift shop on Main Street, said that it gets so loud, she can't hear her customers, and that when she closes her front door to blunt the noise, she loses business.
"They've taken over the town," she said.
Main Street resident Jim Lyons has begun to try to take it back.
