Default IL Handle Bar Law???

So how high can my bars be? I am looking at cyclesmith bars for my FLHX and need to know...

Back when I took my MC License test there in 1976 that was a question on the written exam. The answer back then was Maximum 15" above the seat. Things have changed a whole lot since then so I don't know the current requirement.

An inch or a foot over whats the differance if the cop wants to be a prick he will write ya a ticket.... if your a little bit over though carry a set of allen keys to loosen off risers an pull back bars ...... So ur not illegal

LOL, just kidding they look great, I don't know what the advantage of moving your hands out from behind the fairing is but it does look cool.
