I was informed today that the family has asked that the funeral procession be led by motorcyclist. Robie's grandparents own a local motorcycle shop here in town. One of the guys organizing the procession came and asked me if I would be willing to help by riding in the procession. I have never done anything like this before. Because I have ridden with Robies Father John in the past this will be even harder for me. Think of us all on Monday at 11 am. Especially this lads family as we take Robie on his last ride.

It is done. Robie's funeral was overwhelming. He would have really thought it was special I'm sure. They brought him to the church for the funeral in the hurse with his Father's ambulance leading the way with his Father driving. The procession was led with multiple emergency response vehicles with lights flashing. On the way to the cemetery an ambulance blocked traffic at every intersection with Medics standing by their trucks with hands over their hearts. Behind the family limo rolled all of his buddies on crotch rockets and we harley riders. It was the most difficult ride I have ever done but I'm glad I did it. Rest in peace Robie your candle burned out long before it's time.
