Re: HeadDoc, Pathfinder, and Spike's Father
Dear friends, I , my brothers, and family appreciate your sentiments and prayers. This was not an unexpected death but still it is what it is. My Dad served in the USAF for 28 years and achieved the rank of Chief Master Seargent. He was a gunner and crew on B-29s, B-36s, and B-52s. He logged over 5000 hours on B-52s alone which to my understanding is unheard of in these times. He was the eldest son of nine children, originally born in kansas. He and his family moved from there during the late 30s to washington state and worked as apple pickers. My grandpa (his dad) eventually started his own small farm and orchard which was never very successful except to break even and feed the family. My Dad left there at 18 and enlisted.
After Dad retired from the AF he worked as a purchasing manager for Libby Glass for another 22 years until his retirement. He was 78 years old.
thanks for your prayers and thoughts...and thank you Kristin for making this post for me and the brothers.
