Default pcIII question

I bought a pcIII that came preprogrammed for my bike . I haven't read the directions too close yet, but is there away to download the map file back to my computer.?

I got it from fuelmotousa.com (sorry Kagan) They supposed to have the largest set of dyno developed maps that they will give to thier customers. Also will give you additional maps as you mod your bike. so this summer I will get the map for the S & S 510 cam upgrade for my scooter too.

Yep, there is. Just load the PCIII software on your computer and I believe the option is to "Get map". Whatever it's called, the button is pretty intuitive.

It then reads it into the software and you can save it as a file somewhere safe on your computer.

HeadDoc, Mungo told you right, it is an easy operation. If you have not installed it yet, just put a 9volt battery on the lead they sent with it, and plug into a USB port. It will automatically read the map in it. Then just save it anywhere, under any name you choose. I do recommend saving the map....

BTW, there are tutorials on the Website to help you.

yeah you guys are right. there was no map loaded on the pc III i got. it was a little confusing though because the sellers were supposed to have preprogrammed it with a map for me and there was a sticker on the box indicating they had mapped it as i specified. wrong! but with that being said. i see how easy it is to download one that is close to my setup. i am waiting till monday to see if the fuelmotousa guys will send me one that is a more exact match for my config. they claim the will. if not i will pick one that seems close from powercommander and run it. don't want to pay any dyno time until after the new cams are installed this summer.
