Default Need advice on brakes

Gonna do a brake job on my 05 Sporty real soon. Looks pretty straight forward,
1. Remove caliper
2. Push in pistons to gain clearance for new shoes
3. Install new shoes and remount caliper
4. Add fluid if needed and bleed if needed (shouldn't need to bleed if I depress the piston properly with C-clamp)

I priced shoes at local stealership and they want over $40 a set? I may be wrong but this seems pretty steep for what are probably crappy shoes anyways. Does anyone know what the best kind of brake shoes to run are? And if so how much they should cost and where to get them?
I appreciate any advice you can give me!

Lyndals are what....composite? Metalic? Kevlar? Do you get em online or at an independent cycle shop?

And the beauty thing about kevlar is that it won't gouge the shit out of your rotors like the crappy sintered pads that HD uses. Not only that they stop better in all conditions.
