Okay so I can not figure this one out. The mac works just fine but with PC and MS Outlook I am lost on this one.
Here is the problem: When I receive an email with a "link" embedded in the email such as www.anywhere.com, I click on it and I get a message that pops up that says "This operation has been canceled due to restrictions on this computer. Please contact your System Administrator" (i am logged in with full access) Well crap, I AM the administrator! And it USED to be just fine - just about a week ago this started. I have made no changes to the current system other than downloading and installing "Mozilla Thunderbird" which is a program similar to outlook and I only did this because to get my .PST file over to the MAC I could do it with Thunderbird and not with Outlook. Outlook is still the default program on the PC and Thunderbird has never been used other than to be the "transport vehicle" of the info in outlook to the MAC. Any ideas, thoughts, ramblings or otherwise? Greatly appreciated. And thank you in advance. |

I have office 2003 on the PC and IE 7 There is no option to click "reset web settings" under Tools in IE - Internet Options - Programs tab. However, under TOOLS - Advanced settings tab it does have a reset but disables all add-ons etc...I will post that image as well

The latest suggestion ....
===== Copy the text below here into notepad: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\htmlfile\shell \open\command] @="\"C:\\Program Files\\Internet Explorer\\IEXPLORE.EXE\" -nohome" Save the file to the desktop and name it whatever you want. Right click on the file, rename it and change the extension from .txt to .reg. Click on the file to import the settings into the Windows registry. Reboot. ===== SM |
