Default We are not supposed to bury our children

A friend and coworker of ours lost his son Tuesday night. This young lad had been racing BMX, Dirt Bikes and then sport bikes since he was just a tot. A good looking lad that was active in high school football and our community. As if the tragedy wasn't enough this young man's father works EMS with Lane and was the unfortunate one to respond to the scene of the accident that involved his son. Lane was off work that night. This tragedy has brought a black cloud over our town and my heart.

Rest in Peace Robie Tyler you will be missed.

Below is the article from our local paper.

The Cleveland man who died in a motorcycle accident Tuesday night on Blue Springs Road has been identified by the Bradley County Sheriff's Office.

John Robinson "Robie" Tyler III, 18, died at Erlanger Medical Center.

According to Bob Gault, public information officer for the sheriff's office, the accident occurred at 9:34 p.m.

Tyler was riding a 2000 Kawasaki motorcycle along 5063 Blue Springs Road when he ran off the road and into a ditch.

Tyler was airlifted by LifeForce helicopter to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga where he later died as a result of his injuries.

Gault indicated there were no other vehicles involved in the crash.

Emergency crews remained on the scene of the accident until 1:53 a.m. Wednesday.

Gault said the sheriff's office traffic unit is continuing to investigate the accident, but they believe speed may have been a contributing factor in the crash.

This is the third traffic-related fatality in Bradley County for the month of June, bringing the total to eight since January, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
